As a Porsche Brand Ambassador, Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova had the privilege of accessorizing her own Panamera GTS model, which received the moniker “by Maria Sharapova”.

The one-off Panamera GTS, which features exclusive individual options chosen by Sharapova herself, was unveiled during a visit to her hometown of Sochi, the host city of the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The Panamera GTS by Maria Sharapova features a number of options from the Porsche Exclusive program including blacked-out LED headlights, tinted LED rear lights, black tailpipe covers of the sports exhaust system and 20-inch Panamera sports wheels in black – all contrast with the car’s white paint.

On the inside, the one-off Panamera features an extended leather trim with decorative stitching in crème, body color painted instrument dials and vehicle key, front and rear headrests embossed with the Porsche crest and armrests customized with the “Panamera GTS” model logo. Finally, the carbon door-sill guards feature “Maria Sharapova” lettering.

The car is powered by the standard Panamera GTS 4.8-liter V8 engine producing 435 hp (440PS), enough to accelerate the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds and to reach a top speed of 288 km/h (179 mph).

“Creating and specifying a very personal Porsche Panamera was such an exciting undertaking,” said Sharapova. “I count myself not only as an athlete, but also as a designer – I’ve designed full collections of luxury accessories, apparel, and even candy for years. I never thought I would have the opportunity to add a car – especially a Porsche – to that repertoire. It’s an ingenious melding of the design world with automotive personalization,” she added.
