So you know those small “5D cinemas” that aside from giving you 3D glasses also shake you around in your seat, blow air at your feet and even release odors to make sure you’re in the correct mood?

They always have some half-assed animation running, clearly created by semi-pros, combining a mix of all animated movie clichés, light personal touches from the creators and lots of action, with flying particles and an exaggerated number of (usually abandoned tunnel) dips aimed to trigger an adrenaline release.

The one posted below is no exception, but at least its creators came up with something a little bit more creative than the abandoned mine cart motif that’s so 2009…

It features rather cool racing (car) trains and portrays a modern(ist) view of motor racing, from the perspective of Butch Cassidy on some kind of hallucinogen.

In all fairness, it’s not a particularly good video, but it does feature some of the nicest steam streamliner shapes this side of the famous Mallard A4. The locomotives created for the short movie have definitely had some thought put into them – they have spoilers and air scoops and the most prominent of chimneys being tapered and curved back so as to not obstruct the passage of air.
