We would like to believe that carmakers have addressed all issues associated with sticky accelerator pedals and unintended acceleration caused by floor mat entrapment, but you can never be entirely sure. And then there’s always the possibility of human error, right?
Here we have video footage from two unrelated incidents, one with a motorcycle and the other with a car, with the common denominator being that they both suddenly accelerated and crashed.
Without proper investigation, there’s no way to reach a firm conclusion, though in the case of the biker, it does seem like he overdid it with the throttle imprinting his face on the wall…
