Chris Harris can’t get enough of the handsome looking and nicely sounding Jaguar F-Type R Coupe. He strengthens the consensus within the British motoring press that the car is amazing in every single way.

I can certainly agree that Jaguar’s design boss, Ian Callum, is a man who knows his way around a drawing board (or open .cad file) masterfully, and the exterior styling is a real triumph, but I’m not so sure about the level of perfection achieved inside, the amount of space on offer or the quality of the materials (judging by what Jaguar managed in those areas in the case of older models, like the XK).

It can’t touch the Porsche 911 in the areas of quality and practicality, and probably reliability.

The rest of the review is classic Harris and by the time the track and road driving bits are done, he ends up being completely ensnared by its charm.
