The first generation of any successful car series is something like your first love – it sets the tone and the bar for the models that follow, and it always holds a special place in your heart.
The original M3 E30 from the mid-1980s through the early 1990s, is one such vehicle and has many fans around the world including this (unnamed) U.S. owner of a red-colored model with a stroked four-cylinder engine (from 2.3-liters to 2.5-liters) and some other performance enhancements like the sway bars, who is featured in the Bavarian brand’s latest clip.
Like he states, there’s a lot to love about the M3 E30, but what he doesn’t say is that, partially due to the car’s age and partially because only 5,300 models were imported to North America of which 185 landed in Canada and 5,115 in the States, according to the BMWregistry, finding a decent example at a reasonable price is like Mission Impossible these days.
