If the first thing that comes to mind when you see this digitally altered Mercedes-Benz C-Class is doubt that they would ever make it, then just think about the not-Mercedes-like A-Class, CLA and GLA models that are now in production and reassess that thought…

The nicely pert shape you see here is the work of Auto Projecoes and it makes me think that if I were in the market for a compact Mercedes that’s still a Mercedes, I would not look any further.

There are sadly no official talks or rumors that we know of supporting the idea.

The fastback-coupe profile looks very appropriate grafted onto the shape of the new C-Class, and it appears more natural and easier on the eye, in this rendered form at least, than Audi’s visibly stretched A5 Sportback.

What do you think? Would it deserve to make production, or is this a more likeable alternative?
