Peugeot has just confirmed pricing and equipment specifications for the new 308 SW in Britain, ahead of the compact estate model’s UK launch and first customer deliveries from 19th of June.

Boasting a cavernous boot capacity of 610 liters (21.5 cubic feet), which is near the top of the category (Honda’s new Civic Tourer has 624-liters or 22 cubic feet) and a starting price of £16,895, the new 308 SW offers buyers a choice of four trim levels and eight powertrains.

The engine lineup comprises a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol unit in 110PS (109bhp) and 130PS (128bhp) guises, the latter offered with a 6-speed automatic option, a 1.6L HDi diesel with 92PS (91bhp), a 1.6L e-HDi with 115PS (113bhp), a 1.6L BlueHDi with 120PS (118bhp) and a 2.0L BlueHDi delivering 150PS (148hp) that can be had with an automatic as well.
