One of the new Toyota Aygo’s most distinct styling features, in an otherwise, common body package shared with the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 108, is the Japanese model’s front end with the gloss black trimmings forming an “X” symbol.

Toyota thinks it’s special and while some viewers have warmed up to it, others continue to question the black mask (…or crotch-less thong) aesthetics, including Carscoops’ reader and tipster, Carson Tse, who did something about it.

Carson tells us: “I made a rendering of what the Toyota Aygo looks like without the “X” on the front fascia, as you can see, it is a very poor rendering as I am no expert in design and I have no specialist software to do renderings. The rendering I made was constructed using “paint” and I would go as far as saying it is laughable! Enjoy!”

No worries Carson, we all began from somewhere and the point here is, do you think the Aygo looks better with or without its “X” snout?
