If you’ve set your heart on obtaining a Veyron, you now have the added option of Bugatti’s newly launched Certified Pre-Owned Program, but if your weekly paycheck and bank account disagree, you could always fool your inner cravings with a replica.
We’ve seen Veyron clones build around a BMW 6-Series, a Porsche Boxster, a Mercury Cougar and even a…humble Honda Civic, but we can’t say we remember one using a 2004 Pontiac GTO (America’s Holden Monaro) as a donor car.
The eBay seller of this incomplete build states:
“2008 bugatti veyron replica based on a 2004 pontiac GTO with LS1 V8 65% complete to much to list see pictures….Bugatti body is professionally mounted ontop of a running driving GTO chassis windows are installed and working headlights and taillights are installed and working. has 20″ custom wheels and tires. she is ready to be finished…Hppy Bidding… car is advertised in multiple locations so seller can elect to stop aution if purchased on other… thanks again..”
We don’t know about that “65 percent complete”, as from these pictures, it looks like it needs a whole of work and time to become something mildly presentable.
On eBay, the current highest offer stands at a $22,000, with only two (automatic?) bidders fighting for the car.
