One of the best April Fools’ Day jokes comes from Honda, which has announced it is offering a do-it-yourself (DIY) kit for the 2015 Fit, enabling handcrafters to build the car in their own home.

Containing “just” 180,000 mechanical parts, the Honda Fit Kit is said to be a challenge for even the most talented and adroit of the handcrafted movement. The Fit Kit owner must be an expert with a solid understanding of electronics to power up the Bluetooth connectivity and safety features like LaneWatch.

“Ideally, someone with a knack for propulsion to build the i-VTEC engine and strong sense of interior design to lay out the 52.7 cubic feet of cargo space with the Honda-exclusive Magic Seat,” Honda says in the release.

Before releasing the DYI kit on the market, the automaker has found two eager testers to help build the first vehicle. Scroll down to see how they’re doing from Honda’s video.
