Had you been flown over the New York skyline yesterday, you would have noticed an unusual yellow spec atop one of the city’s most iconic skyscrapers, the Empire State Building. Ford wowed crowds back in the day when it first put its Mustang on top of the building, and now it’s done it yet again, trying to stick as close to the original formula as possible.

They even went through the same process of cutting the car into pieces, disassembling it and then putting it back together once the observation deck was reached.

Of course, it’s a publicity stunt, just like it was originally intended, but it’s obviously effective and even some of the people asked to share their views by CNN were still baffled as to how the car made up there. Most went for “helicopter.” See the drop-top ‘Stang all assembled and people’s reactions in the videos below.
