MG is celebrating its 90th anniversary in central London today with a display of current and future technology, including the global debut of the Dynamo concept electric vehicle.

Shown at SMMT headquarters in Westminster, London, the Dynamo is a small electric vehicle that has been developed specifically for the European market.

Designed at SAIC Motor’s European Design and Technical Centre (SMTC) in Birmingham, the Dynamo reminds somewhat of the 2008 Pininfarina B0 concept car which later morphed into the Bolloré Bluecar, the EV used by Paris’ car-sharing scheme Autolib’.

No details are offered about the MG Dynamo study, which will be on display in London until April 28.

MG will hold an MG90 event at the Silverstone circuit on June 21-22 2014 to celebrate the marque’s 90th anniversary. The event will feature historic MG vehicles alongside current production models and a preview of technology that will take the marque forward into the next 90 years.
