If the Peugeot 108 hadn’t been as nice as it is to look at, feature the tech-rich and (reportedly) sturdy Toyota-esque interior, it would have been eaten alive by its youthful competition. They even managed to do a better job than before of differentiating it from its Citroen and Toyota variants, with clear cues shared with larger cars in the range like the 208 and 308.

UK magazine WhatCar? readers shed some light on new cars before they enter the mainstream reviews carrousel, and by the time journalists get their hands on them for road tests, we already know what to expect and what some of the good and bad points are.

In the case of the Peugeot 108, those asked say there aren’t that many bad points about the car at all, most praising the unique styling, the look and feel of the interior, the fabric roof and the large and simple to use touchscreen.

Now, the only question that remains is: is it fun to drive, in that nippy city car kind of way that made its predecessor a hoot?
