Jennings Seat in Middlesbrough has won the first “Kings of Leon” competition, organized by Seat UK to see who could build the most striking Leon using the brand’s genuine accessories.

The entire Seat dealer network was invited to participate, with dealers given a month to complete their cars and present them to Seat UK through the company’s online dealer portal. After the entry deadline closed in April, the dealers were then invited to vote for their favorite from a shortlist of three, selected by Seat Head of Service and Parts Nigel Griggs.

The winner was Jennings Seat of Middlesbrough with its special Leon FR “S-Tech” getting 61 percent of the votes. The winning car is a Leon FR 2.0 TDI 184 PS finished in Alor Blue and including parts from the newSeat Sports Styling Kit (rear bumper, diffuser, twin rear exhausts, and side skirts).

Other accessories are the 18-inch wheels painted gloss black as well as wing mirrors, diffuser, spoiler, number plate surround and front valance all painted to match. The car also features twin black viper stripes. The interior is largely untouched, but does include an oddments holder from the official Seat accessories line, and the S-Tech comes with an iPad included in the price.

The cost for the entire styling kit is £2,000 ($3,362), including the iPad and the black wheels and stripes. According to the dealer, this represents a £1,500 ($2,522) saving on the cost of all the individual parts.
