While this 1984 Porsche 911 doesn’t look particularly special, that’s not the case for the trained eye which would not have a hard time at all spotting the different front bumper and rear wing, as well as the aerodynamically-profiled wheels.

It may not look like much, but it actually reduced the drag coefficient of the car from 0.4 to 0.27 – a Tesla Model S, for comparison’s sake, achieves a coefficient of 0.24, while the Mercedes-Benz CLA drops even lower to 0.23.

You can imagine all the positive implications this has on the car’s (particularly high-speed) behavior and performance, while boosting efficiency in the process too, even if that wasn’t a prime concern back in the ‘80s.
