Gran Turismo 6’s (GT6) last line of defense against the actual next-gen games is its unheard diversity of cars and tracks. That statement obviously has a big asterisk following it, since not all cars are of the same quality, and yet it’s what PlayStation3 (PS3) users must contend with until GT7 comes along for the PS4.

Sony is playing it smart, by commissioning various “Vision” models to actually be made by actual manufacturers specifically for the game. All these are pretty stunning and are in and of themselves reason enough to want to play the current GT game…

If you need even more incentive, they are adding cars of historic importance too. This time it’s the turn of one of the go-karts that Ayrton Senna raced in early in his career.

It’s one of four parts making up the “Ayrton Senna Tribute” pack that launches in full later in May. Two of four is the 1985 Lotus 97T F1, a memorable looking F1 racer that bore the nickname “Black Beauty.” See both in the gallery below.
