Powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six gasoline engine producing 300 hp, the BMW 435i Coupe is the most powerful 4-Series Coupe available in the U.S. – if we don’t count the BMW M4 Coupe.

Consumer Reports tested a press car fitted with all available performance options and concluded that the 435i Coupe is very entertaining to drive but mature at the same time. Sure, one could spec a similar 3-Series sedan, but then he or she would be deprived of the more stylish coupe shape.

Although the 4-Series Coupe is a direct successor to the 3-Series Coupe, Consumer Reports’ Tom Mutchler says the steering feel doesn’t match that of its predecessors, whether it’s the E30, E36, E46 or the E90.

Furthermore, he says he would be in a dilemma if he were to choose between the BMW 4-Series Coupe and the Audi S5. Head down past the jump to watch the review.
