We have already seen a review of the all-new Subaru WRX STI filmed in the United States and now, it’s time to see what Europeans think of the new flagship performance model from Subaru.

The WRX STI remains loyal to the 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer engine rather than downsizing to the 2.0-liter unit used by the WRX. Even the power level stays the same as in the previous generation model: 296hp (300PS) – you may notice that is slightly less than the U.S.-spec model’s 305 hp.

But what is the new Subaru WRX STI like to drive? EVO’s Henry Catchpole drove it on Swedish secluded roads that could easily be mistaken for rally stages and reached the conclusion that the new model retains the character of the previous one while managing to improve. You’ll have to watch the review posted below to find out what these improvements are.
