Even if you try to find some, there are probably no bad words that can be associated with ICON. The company founded and run by Jonathan Ward is an expression of the man’s brilliance and his passion for what the automotive industry has best to offer.
He shies away from adopting industrial the industrial-style tactics that usually signal the end of individuality, and as he explains in the short video below, he still understands the meaning of “design for design’s sake,” but without necessarily making a big fuss out of it.
The vehicles imagined at ICON don’t immediately jump out at you, even though it doesn’t take an expert’s eye to see there’s something special about them. I guess the best way to describe the company’s style is to call their work quietly outspoken.
