The all-new Honda Civic Type R will arrive only in European dealerships in summer 2015, but that doesn’t stop Honda from trying to keep interest alive in its upcoming hot-hatch. The Japanese carmaker has launched a new teaser campaign for the Civic Type R, which unfortunately, features the concept car instead of the production model.

Not that the car takes center stage in Honda’s “Disruption” commercial, which features “R-rated” content including a man with red eyes, predator wolves attacking a heavily tattooed man and lightning strikes, among others.

The video is a reference to the extreme nature of the upcoming Civic Type R, which will be on display in concept form at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend.

“The new Type R promises to be the most extreme yet, it’s born from racing and it pushes the boundaries. This new campaign encompasses this spirit perfectly, with Disruption the ideal curtain raiser in setting the energy and adrenaline levels very high,” explains Olivia Dunn, Head of Marketing for Honda UK.
