McLaren will debut a track-focused model at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on June 27, alongside models from the brand’s past and present. According to the company, the global premiere is “the latest generation competitive track-focused racer to carry the McLaren name”, which may lead us to believe that the automaker is talking about the 650S GT3 racecar or the P1 GTR.

The teaser photo doesn’t reveal much other than a massive rear wing and an aerodynamic shape, but if it’s the 650 S, it should follow in the footsteps of the 12C GT3.

Alongside the new racecar, the McLaren House at Goodwood will include the road-going 650S Coupe and Spider, as well as the McLaren P1. The carmaker will also showcase one of the earliest examples of successful racers, and one of only a handful of cars that can boast a more substantial rear wing than a McLaren P1 – the M7C. The latter was driven by Bruce McLaren to three podium finishes during the 1969 Formula 1 season.

McLaren Mercedes driver Jenson Button will also be present at Goodwood to drive one of the brand’s latest models up the Hill.
