We have good news for fans of Porsche tuning specialist SpeedART, which last year, entered bankruptcy proceedings after “mounting legal fees from an intense battle with Porsche”: the German tuner is back with a vengeance and is working on the release of its first aftermarket program for the new Porsche Macan SUV.

From what we understand, the problem stemmed from SpeedART selling cars under the Porsche name. We spoke to SpeedART boss Björn Striening about the matter:

“It is true that we had big troubles with the Porsche AG concerning tuned cars we sold on the internet forum / platform called Mobile.de. We are not allowed to sell tuned cars under the name of Porsche any more as it cost us a lot of money, unfortunately,” said Striening.

“After the court battle ended, Mobile gave us our own manufacturer name, so we are now able to present/sell cars under the brand name of SpeedART,” he said.

With that issue settled, SpeedART is now moving ahead and has shared a preview photo of its Macan Turbo wearing a different set of wheels and red brake calipers.

However, the German tuner told us that in the coming weeks and months, it will release a wide range of parts, including power kits, sport exhaust systems, more alloy wheel choices, aerodynamic and styling parts for the exterior, plus an exclusive interior package.
