Like the VW Golf Plus before it, the Golf Sportsvan addresses those customers who want something in between the Golf hatchback and the Touran MPV. It is bigger and more practical than the Golf, but not quite as big as the Touran.

As the name Sportsvan suggests, VW is trying to pitch it as a sportier alternative to the Touran.

Since it is based on VW’s acclaimed MQB platform, the Golf Sportsvan is very similar to the regular Golf in terms of dynamics, the review from Auto Express finds.

Sure, there is a little more body roll in the corners, but the handling is equally sharp and holds itself surprisingly well for a car of this size. However, the GT trim offers a firmer suspension that solves the Golf Sportsvan’s body roll problem.
