New Audi Q3 Compact Crossover Starts at $32,500* in the States

Audi’s answer to Mercedes’ GLA in the US is the new Q3 that goes on sale this fall with a starting MSRP of $32,500 for the FWD model excluding (*) a $925 destination fee.

That’s $1,200 more than the base FWD GLA ($31,300) and $1,400 over the entry-level RWD BMW X1 sDrive28i, not taking into account any differences in equipment.

Unlike its two chief German rivals, the Q3 is offered exclusively with a single engine, a 200hp 2.0-liter TFSI gasoline four connected to a standard six-speed Tiptronic transmission, with Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system available as a $2,100 option.

Two trim grades are on offer, the Premium Plus and the Prestige, with all Q3s fitted with xenon plus and LED daytime running headlamps, LED taillights and dual-zone automatic climate control as standard.

The optionally available Sport Package adds sport seats, shift paddles on the steering wheel and the Audi Drive Select system that allows drivers to adjust the transmission shift points and throttle mapping of the engine through a button. If you don’t mind mining deeper into your pockets, there’s also a Navigation plus system with voice control and 7.0 inch display color display.
