There are many things an enthusiast can do to a car to make it his own – there’s an entire aftermarket industry that offers almost unlimited options. But not all car owners are happy with customizing options designed and sold by others.

Al Swaghammer from Seattle is one of those owners who went the extra mile in order to put his personal touch on his car. Since his vehicle is not a very common one (a 1960 DKW 1000S badged as an Auto Union), he decided to radically transform it by fitting it with an electric powertrain.

Obviously, embarking on such a mission requires a lot of commitment and knowledge, but judging from the way the car looks the man doesn’t lack any of those. Unfortunately, he doesn’t mention anything about the type of electric motor and batteries chosen, nor about driving range and charging time. Still, it’s an unusual project that’s worth two minutes of your time.
