We noticed from the poll in one of the previous new Volvo XC90 posts that most of you seem to like both its interior and its exterior.

However, none of you are as lucky as AutoExpress’ editor-in-chief, who had a chance to poke around and make the first unofficial video of the car, at the launch event.

He looks around, praising the shape, questioning the price, then moves to the inside to try out the nine-inch touchscreen. It looks very pleasant as well and it’s of a much more manageable size than that of the Tesla Model S’ – it also seems to be very snappy and pleasant to use; the fact that it’s noticeably angled towards the driver should add to the experience too.

Overall, it’s what we were expecting after having seen the many concepts and teasers, and the only real bad mark is the ditching of the split tailgate, a feature many find highly desirable, and for good reason.
