2015 Toyota Tundra Gets Bass Pro Shops Off-Road Edition

Held in the United States’ biggest truck market, the State Fair of Texas is obviously all about trucks and Toyota couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to display a new pickup.

Gulf States Toyota unveiled the new 2015 Toyota Tundra Bass Pro Shops Off-Road Edition, the first retail vehicle built as part of a collaboration between Toyota and Bass Pro Shops, the famous outdoor retailer.

As its name hints, the 2015 Toyota Tundra Bass Pro Shops Off-Road Edition is equipped for outdoor adventures. Available exclusively in Silver, the vehicle features a 4×4 CrewMax SR5 configuration, which combines offers extra space for outdoor gear with comfort for passengers.

The Bass Pro Shops Off-Road Edition package includes 20-inch milled-matte black wheels and All Terrain Upgrade, custom Bass Pro Shops carpeted floor mats, Bass Pro Shops off-road bed decals, 5-inch oval black step tubes, spray-on bedliner, pocketed fender flares and stainless-steel exhaust tip.

Just like the standard model it’s based on, the Tundra Bass Pro Shops Off-Road Edition is powered by a 381 horsepower 5.7L i-Force V8 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The model also includes a tow package for those customers who want to take a boat, ATV or UTV along on the journey.

The special edition Tundra will be offered exclusively in the Gulf States Region (Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas) from October 2014, with a starting price of $43,975. Customers who buy one will also get $1,000-worth of special fishing, hunting, camping or marine outdoor gear lifestyle package from Bass Pro Shops.

Su-weet. Those three Bass Pro decals make this thing so much more hardcore than the standard Off Road 4×4 Tundra. And throwing in $1000 in Bass Bucks? It’s like they’re giving this thing away. I can’t wait to see the Cabela’s Big Game Tundra, due out this time next year.

That is probably the most gay looking truck produced today. Bass pro shop stickers and bigger tires. Soooo gay !

  • MarketAndChurch

It’s a bit overkill on the badging/decals. But that’s not that bad looking of a truck. Just not a fan of the rims.

  • The chromed front actually looks pretty good. Stickers meh. But a treehugger eco edition with an even bigger engine and Green Stickers would be Prime!
