IMSA’s tune for the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG may look subtle on the outside, but it packs a 720PS (710hp) and 1,080Nm (796 lb-ft) punch under the bonnet.

That’s a significant boost over the stock twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8’s 585PS (577hp) and 900Nm (664 lb-ft) that was achieved through a series of improvements ranging from new hardware like the intercooler to an ECU remap.

On the outside, IMSA fitted the S63 AMG with a host of discrete carbon fiber parts such as the front bumper trims and lip spoiler, side skirts, decklid spoiler and rear diffuser, along with new exhaust finishers and a set of 21-inch alloy wheels shod in tires size 255/35R21 front and 295/30R21 rear.

Customers also have the option of several interior upgrades including different upholstery in leather and/or Alcantara, and new decorative trims made from wood or carbon fiber.
