Renault has begun taking orders for the all-new Twingo in France, with prices starting from €10,800 ($14,165) for the base model – that’s €200 less than its predecessor.

Despite the smaller starting price, the new entry-level Twingo features additional features compared to the previous generation, including five doors (the previous model was sold only as a three-door model), LED daytime running lights, 15-inch steel wheels with hubcaps and new safety systems such as ESC (Electronic Stability Control), tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist and speed limiter.

In France, the new Twingo is offered with three trim levels: Life, Zen and Intens. In addition to the features offered on the entry-level model, the Zen trim brings air conditioning, front electric windows, radio Connect R & GO with commands on the steering-wheel column and more. Zen models are priced from €12,300.

The top Intens trim level offers additional features including cruise control, heated and electrically operated rearview mirrors, 15-inch Argos alloy wheels, fog lights and leather covered steering wheel and gearbox lever, among others. The Twingo Intens is priced from €13,300. All prices are for the base 70PS (69hp) 1.0-liter 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine.

Besides the three trim levels, Renault has also announced a limited series model called Edition One, which is available only with the 90 PS (89hp) 0.9-liter 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine and offers additional features including 16-inch Juvaquatre alloy wheels, stripes on the sides of the vehicle, a leather/fabric upholstery and a Techno pack including the R-Link Evolution in-dash multimedia system and rearview camera. The Edition One model is priced at €15,700.
