The classic Mini is still a relevant vehicle today. It may have rubber suspension and not be as good as a modern car in a crash, but it makes up for those with petite size, fun drive and undeniable character – it’s actually a practical car for two city dwellers with a hint of hipster.
Watch the Petrolicious video posted below and by the time it ends, you look away wondering why it is that you don’t already own an old Mini as one of your cars.
If you’re an American, the experience of driving and owning one (particularly the latter) will always yield interesting situations and encounters – in Europe, where they’re quite common, not so much, but in the US it’s much more likely.
Another nifty aspect of the Mini ownership experience is the fact that it can very easily be modified and upgraded – you could even do it yourself as it’s one of the simplest classics to work on; it’s the perfect car to get you into classic car restorations – there are plenty of rusty, unloved ones out there just waiting for attention.
