So, you want to enjoy some sunshine with your 458 Speciale? No worries, Ferrari has 499 of you covered with their new 458 Speciale A that made its Paris show debut today. The “A” is short for Aperta, or open in Italian.

This is essentially the roadster version of the acclaimed 458 Speciale coupe with the same collection of upgrades that make the former such a desirable supercar.

Therefore, it has the same 4.5-liter V8 engine punching out a wicked 597hp (605PS) and 540Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque at 6,000 rpm, making it the most powerful naturally-aspirated road-going V8 engine ever built by Ferrari.

The new car sprints from 0-100 km/h (62mph) in 3.0 seconds and has a Fiorano lap time of 1’23”5 – the same as the coupe.

An aluminum retractable hardtop helps keep the weight difference with the 1,290kg (2,844lbs) coupe to 50kg (110 lbs) at 1,340kg (2,945 lbs).

You can check out the 458 Speciale A in the photo gallery below (alongside Ferrari’s other Paris Auto Show models), while further down, you’ll find the first official video of the car.
