Down Under, they call them Utes; here in the US, you’ll often hear them collectively mentioned as El Caminos, even though the name refers to a Chevy, while the rest of the world is content with pickup trucks.

If you want to get fussy, passenger vehicles with a cargo tray in the rear works just fine, thank you very much.

What we have here is a collection of renderings of the “what if they made it into a pickup truck?” sort, focusing on sports and luxury cars, courtesy of PS artist, X-Tomi.

These include the Audi RS5, Bentley Continental GT Speed, BMW M4, Cadillac ATS, Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, Ford Mustang GT, Lexus RC, Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale, Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe, and the Scion FR-S / Toyota GT 86.

For sure, they were created just for the fun of it, but you never know when some crazy engineer with plenty of time in his hands ends up building one of them – remember BMW’s M3 pick-up?
