For some reason, people who set Guinness world records for tightest parallel parking have a preference for Mini vehicles. While last year’s record was set in a classic Mini, this year a new record was achieved in a new Mini Hatch.

China’s Han Yue has reclaimed the official title as the world’s No.1 authority in parallel parking during the China Drift Championship held in Chongqing, China on November 14, 2014.

Yue’s parallel park is only 80 mm (3.15 inches), which represents the combined gap between his Mini and the cars in front and behind.

It’s really an impressive feat and no doubt one that took many hours of practice. Scroll down to watch how Yue’s Mini almost hits the other cars in what is an impossible maneuver for 99.9 percent of drivers.
