With the 2014 LA Motor Show literally just around next week’s corner, Cadillac dropped its first official teaser for the new 2016 ATS-V Coupe doing a very appropriate burnout.

GM has been super secretive about their new M3 and M4 rivaling ATS-V Sedan and Coupe performance models, but most reports and sources seem to agree on the use of the CTS V Sport’s twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6, either in stock form producing 420hp or mildly tuned to deliver more than the BMW‘s 425hp inline-six.

We believe the audio from the ATS-V’s engine in the short-footage supports the force-fed V6 scenario, but we’d like to hear what you think as well in the comments area below.
