The new Audi Q7 will feature tablets for its rear seat passengers’ entertainment needs. The units are mounted to the rear of the front seat backs yet are also detachable and actually “safe in a crash,” according to the manufacturer.

Audi promises the tablets are easy to use and fast, allowing rear occupants to do any number of (online) activities. They can choose the music, check maps and even stream live content if the car is internet-enabled.

It’s the car in which you’ll never have to look ahead ever again – you’ll be too busy swiping, sliding and scrolling to care where you are.

If you have kids and plan on taking long journeys via your new 2016 Q7, then by all means do specify the tablets. They’ll miss most of the trip, but hey, at least they’ll be up to date on their Spongebob episodes…
