2015 Ram 1500 Rebel is for Off-Road Trails, Comes with Air Suspension

The 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel is a truck aimed at those customers who use to take their pickups on off-road trails, benefiting from an exclusive air suspension that increases ride height.

Riding on all-new 17-inch aluminum wheels shod with 33-inch Toyo all-terrain tires and equipped with factory lift, skid plates, tow hooks and other off-road-ready features, the 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel is also differentiated from regular 1500 trucks thanks to new design features.

The truck gains a new blacked-out front grille design with prominent billet silver “RAM” letter badge, a redesigned black off-road front bumper design which incorporates a billet silver skid plate, new front tow hooks and new LED fog lamps. Other changes include the black bezel bi-functional projector headlamps with LED marker lights and the aluminum, twin-snorkel sport hood.

The profile sports black Power Wagon wheel-arch moldings, flat-black badge, mirrors and lower body panels, while a “RAM” stamped tailgate with blacked-out lettering dominates the rear end, which also features “Rebel” and “4X4” badges.

Inside, the Ram 1500 Rebel features high-durability technical grain vinyl seats finished in Radar Red and Black with Sedoso fabric inserts, as well as all-black instrument panel, door armrests and logo-embossed center console armrest. The center stack and console are finished in Iron Gray Metallic paint.

The Ram 1500 Rebel will be available in five colors, including Granite Crystal Metallic, Bright Silver Metallic, Flame Red, Bright White and Brilliant Black – both monotone and two-tone paint options are offered.

The Rebel’s ride height is increased by 1 inch (25.4mm) thanks to the exclusive air suspension system, improving off-road approach, departure and breakover angles. Available exclusively as a crew cab model with 5-ft 7-inch (1,700mm) bed length, the Rebel can be had with either the 305hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or the 395hp 5.7-liter HEMI powertrain, in both 4×2 (HEMI only) or 4×4 configurations.

Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, with the V6 returning 25 mpg (9.4 l/100 km). The 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel goes on sale early in the second half of 2015.
