From time to time, Audi feels the need to remind us about their celebrated all-wheel drive system, the Quattro. This time however, they’re reminding us to the tune of a Jay-Z song.
Seriously, that song playing in the background is none other than No Church in the Wild by Jay-Z ft. Kanye West, from their “Watch the Throne” 2011 Album – so we’re going to go ahead and give them some bonus points for that.
Basically, it’s hard not to agree with the way they present their Quattro system. It will handle ice and snow, puddles and even sludgy autumn leaves – which can cause a loss of traction, and are even more dangerous if you’re not aware of the threat they present and you’re just focusing on how pretty the scenery is.
In dynamic situations, up to 70% torque can be applied to the front wheels and up to 85% to the rear wheels when it comes to Audi’s latest generation all-wheel drive system. The 6th generation Quattro system first came out on the 2010 Audi RS5, followed by the A7, A8 and latest A6. Just like the video implies, you’ll be able to use the system during sunshine (meaning performance oriented runs on a dry road) without any problems. Unless you know, you’re just driving to the supermarket for a milk run.
This video is mostly directed at countries where you get to face pretty much all of nature’s mood swings, so when you do, it’s best if you can rely on your car having really good traction.
