If your JDM knowledge needs some dust off (ours did!), this is basically a Datsun 240Z with the powertrain of the original Skyline GT-R, aka the hakosuka. This means that under the bonnet lives and breathes a dual-cam, four-valve, 2-litre inline-six fed by no less than three carburetors, hence the 432 nameplate.

This motorsport-bred engine made its first appearance in the first Skyline GT-R, making it one of the most significant powertrains of the era. Nissan made approximately 420 of the Z 432 models, of which none was never officially sold in the U.S. market.

Capable of spinning up to 7,000rpm, the Z 432 was equipped with a close-ratio 5 speed manual and a limited slip differential. Most of them went racing. The car you see here is claimed to be very original and in top working condition, with the original tool-kit included.

This is not the first time we’ve come across a find like this, but since we are talking JDM royalty status here, this is one hell of an opportunity for the right enthusiast. RM’s Amelia Island Auction is going to be held on March 14, 2015. Bring your trailer and cash, this lot has no reserve.
