The Lamborghini Gallardo has become sort of a cult car ever since it’s been replaced by the not as popular Huracan. People genuinely seem to miss the Gallardo and to be honest, so do we.

The good news is, we’re always coming across all sorts of crazy customized versions of the former baby-Lambo. Sometimes, like now for example, we get to witness a genuine Gallardo GT3 race car thanks to Marchettino.

This is the limited edition (only 10 units) Full Carbon Extenso R-EX and it’s based on the Gallardo LP560-4 FL2 GT3 racer. Its weight was reduced even further to 1,175kg (from 1,190kg), which means it weighs about the same as a VW Polo!

What sets the FL2 GT3 racer apart from other versions is the new and highly efficient aero kit, consisting of a new front splitter, rear carbon diffuser and a fully adjustable rear wing. The Extenso R-EX features an even heavier use of carbon fiber elements and thanks to its all-black look, it’s a proper pseudo-batmobile. Actually let’s call it the ‘Batwing’ already because it resembles the Dark Knight’s jet much more than it does his car.

Whoever is interested in buying one of the 10 limited edition units should set aside €240,000 ($298,000) – which seems like a small price to pay if you’re already spending that much on supercars frequently. Keep in mind, this thing is a genuine race car.
