BMW X4 USA Spot Is All About Narration

BMW USA is hoping that their new compact SUV, the X4 is going to catch on. Whether or not that’s going to happen, remains to be seen. What we’re worried about, is actually them editing this clip.

In case you’re wondering why we’d touch on the way in which the video is edited, well, it’s because it’s not the first time BMW have used these images. In fact, this entire footage was taken from a spot they shot last year.

Instead of going with something completely new, they decided to take not just the theme from that original video, but also the footage. And then of course they had to add the “Hollywood-style narration” during the editing process.

The message is the same as last year. Dare. Embrace the unknown, and so on. Basically don’t be afraid to get in your X4 and drive wherever the road may lead you. It’s engines are both powerful and economical enough, while it’s xDrive all-wheel drive system is clever enough to get you through the harshest of terrains. As long as you don’t overdo it obviously.

Don’t impose on the X4’s ground clearance, because it’s no Toyota Land Cruiser. If you’re looking to get stuck somewhere, you will if you’re not careful.

The BMW X4 is more of an unconventional product. If you understand what this car is and who it’s for, then you may just end up liking it or even buying it. However if you’re more or a practical person, finding something else, more conventional, in this segment, will be extremely easy.
