Creating a great family car nowadays is not easy, as it needs to tick so many boxes to be considered great that it’s just easier to half-ass it and have a product that’s sort of there. There are those fortunate exceptions, where the manufacturer has understood what the market is requesting and delivered in spades.
KBB chose fifteen great family cars that are on offer in the US right now. They narrowed it down from a wider selection and are showcasing their final pick in the video posted below.
They rate cars for obvious family-friendly qualities, but those that already possess those and add a dash of extra something are deemed even more praiseworthy.
A good example of this is the latest Toyota Camry. It reportedly retains the safe character of its predecessor, and the functional interior layout, but now it’s been infused with renewed style and fun-to-drive character.
Thus, it’s good as way to carry yourself and relatives around, but there’s also that something extra that makes it more enticing than before.
