Singapore Residents Rejoice! You Can Now Request a Supercar via Uber

If being picked up in something simply fancier than a yellow cab wasn’t enough for you, how does having your pick between a Lamborghini and a Maserati supercar sound?

Even though Singapore cabs do come in different colors, no Hyundai or Toyota will ever make you look as good as you do when stepping out of a V8 or a V10-powered Italian exotic.

This pilot program was launched in collaboration with Dream Drive (which means you also have the option to rent the cars so you can drive them yourself), but it mainly focuses on offering Singapore residents the chance to call on something else other then the usual Uber Black, Uber X, Uber Taxi, Uber SUV or Uber Lux services.

The cars they chose are the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and the Maserati GranTurismo – since you know, it’s not like you can go wrong with any of them.

Ordering up the Maserati will cost you 165 Singapore Dollars (or about $120) charged for the first 15 min, after which you pay 7 SGD ($5.10) per every additional minute.

The Lambo has the same per-minute rate but will set you back 200 SGD ($146) initially, which makes sense since it’s better looking, faster, more expensive and you can drive with the top down.
