2017 Ford Taurus RS Looks Cool But Is Unlikely To Happen

It’s safe to say that the recently-revealed all-new Ford Taurus will not be scrutinized by the folks at Ford Performance for a possible RS version.

In this form (we still don’t know about the US model), the Taurus is a full-size sedan designed for the Chinese market, where rear legroom, comfort and luxury are all that matter. But if you wonder what a Ford Taurus RS would look like, then you’re in the right place.

Photoshop manipulator X-Tomi has done this exercise and virtually transformed the big sedan into a big sports sedan.

The grille has been turned into a massive air intake for the engine, while the aggressive-looking bumper features an equally big air intake as well. Big black alloy wheels were also added, as was a massive rear wing. While a Ford Taurus RS would look good (based on this rendering), it’s unlikely to happen. Still, Ford will offer a Taurus SHO model in the US, which should provide enough thrills for buyers of the big sedan.

    With a V8 ecoboost ! Could be a Charger / SS fighter !

I have a 2011 SHO with a tune and out run SS SRT8 NOW!!!! See SHOMAN04 vs SRT8 on YouTube! I heard that a 3.8L EcoBoot V6 will be in the Ford GT-40 at 600hp. A SHO-SR at 500pd less, The RS aro kit, and a detune 3.8L say 465hp!!!! If Ford built the SHO-RS I will have a 2011 SHO and 2017 SHO-RS!!!!!!

That is not a SRT8. It’s a v8, but not a SRT8. And The rims are too oversize.

  • john1168

Very cool! I’d but it but I don’t think it will look this aggressive.

  • john1168

Anyone know when the US version is going to be released?

  • Bob Hissom

Ford should make the ST the 2.7 Ecoboost and the RS the 3.5 Ecoboost. The aggressive aero package should be a option on all engine choices (including th 2.3) !!! The interior would be different with the ST and RS. That way you have a sleeper sedan which would really cool !!!

Join the V6 3.5 liters turbowith 600hp to the Taurus SHO,would be nice!!!

What is Ford waiting for! Bring on the new bull!

  • DCurtis_PHA

Ford would be foolish not to release this beast that looks like this and performs as good as it looks. I’d buy one day one. It’s almost like a GT350r sedan! You can’t lose! Just make sure the dash is modern!

  • Alecs

    Ford,do the new Taurus ,rear-wheel-drive,please!!!

  • Michael Harris

No point in this. A Fusion S with 425 hp would do the job against the Charger SRT8…

Two doors and rear wheel drive,V-8,it would have too many fans(young fans)
