This is what some have called “the most beautiful Chinese sedan ever made”, as it previews an upcoming GAC Trumpchi flagship model. We wouldn’t go that far, but we’ll admit to being impressed.
This car is set to look pretty much the same in production form as well, which is a big plus. The GA8 will sit above the GA6 sedan in the Trumpchi line-up and will probably look to battle even a few European imports.
The design language isn’t exactly unique but we can’t say that they obviously copied any particular model. There’s a hint of Subaru Legacy from the headlights to the front doors, but that’s about it. The somewhat sloping rear end looks very nice indeed.
If we were to pick on something, we’d probably say that the front end looks a bit messy. The grille is unimpressive, the LEDs don’t necessarily follow the shape of the headlights (which looks a bit odd) and the badge is way too big.
Overall though, the car looks elegant, especially the profile. We also like the shape of the wing mirrors and we hope they remain the same once the switch out the concept for the real thing.
