Smart launched the new Fortwo at Shanghai Auto Show with sales starting in August and the Forfour following in early 2016.
China is apparently the biggest market for almost every manufacturer with a presence there, and the same applies for Smart.
Five years after their market launch, China is already the second-largest market for Smart with Annette Winkler, Head of smart saying “China is well on the way to becoming the largest market worldwide for smart. We have made high and very successful investments in the brand there”.
The new Fortwo will be offered with the twinamic dual-clutch six-speed gearbox as standard in China as well as the smart Audio-System which turns a smartphone into a multimedia player and a navigator.
