The hottest Merc has finally arrived on UK shores, with Evo magazine giving it a quick review around Anglesey Circuit before putting it against the Porsche 911 Turbo.

You could safely say that AMG’s latest creation is a downsized version of the mighty SLS; after all, the Mercedes-AMG GT S uses the same front axle with the now discontinued gullwinged supercar but instead of the famous 6.3 natural aspirated V8, the GT S uses the same twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 the C63 has, tuned to deliver 503hp (510 PS) in this version.

0-62mph (100km/h) comes in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 193mph (311 km/h), with all this performance accompanied by the usual thunderous AMG soundtrack. And just look at that center console.

Head to the video after the jump.
