2015 Mini JCW Hatch Priced From £23,050 In The UK, €31,750 in Germany [184 Photos]

Mini has announced pricing for its most powerful production model, the John Cooper Works hatch, which can now be admired in detail in a massive photo gallery.

The Mini JCW starts from £23,050 in the UK and from €31,750 in Germany, including VAT – US pricing hasn’t been announced yet. For this amount of money, customers get the most powerful engine ever fitted in a Mini production model. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol is rated at 231PS (228hp) and 320Nm (236lb-ft) of torque – that’s 10 percent more power and 23 percent more torque than in the previous-generation model.

Mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard, the Mini JCW sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.3 seconds. With the optional a six-speed Steptronic automatic, the hot-hatch is even quicker, reaching 100 km/h from standstill in 6.1 seconds. Both versions can reach a top speed of 246 km/h (153 mph).

Besides the improved performance, the 2015 Mini JCW’s fuel consumption and CO2 levels are reduced by approximately 20 percent when equipped with the automatic transmission – to 5.7 l/100 km (49.5 mpg UK or 41.2 mpg US) and 133 g/km in the EU test cycle.

The Mini John Cooper Works hatch also features an enhanced suspension, newly developed Brembo sports brake system, exclusive 17-inch John Cooper Works Race Spoke light alloy wheels, electromechanical power steering with Servotronic, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC) and Performance Control.

From a design point of view, the car is distinguished from lesser model thanks to a model-specific front apron with large cooling air inlet, distinctive side sill and rear apron design and a John Cooper Works rear spoiler. Other unique details include LED headlamps with white direction indicators, wheel arch surround with distinctive contours, radiator grille, side scuttles and tailgate with John Cooper Works label, sports exhaust system with special tailpipes, as well as an exclusive Rebel Green body color.

The interior features exclusive JCW sports seats in Dinamica/fabric with integrated headrests, JCW entry sills, JCW steering wheel with multifunction buttons and shift paddles (with the 6-speed Steptronic), JCW gear lever or selector lever, specific design for the cockpit displays and central instrument display surround, stainless steel pedals and driver footrest and anthracite roof liner.
