This is What Happens When ‘American Muscle’ Goes Wrong

Wow, we don’t even know what to say about this one, except that it’s beyond embarrassing. Seriously now, to lose your rear axle while you’re showing off in traffic has to be right up there with losing a fight to an inferior opponent in front of your girlfriend.

Actually, we can only hope that guy didn’t have his girlfriend with him in the car, but enough about embarrassment – let’s talk about what the hell just happened, because that right there was nothing short of a catastrophic technical failure. There’s no way that just one thing went wrong.

Regardless of how much power was coursing through those rear wheels, there’s no way of knowing what actually led to the axle coming off. A possible explanation would be that the car was seriously damaged underneath, or had been previously damaged and then repaired badly (welded badly).

Either way, man that was harsh! And it’s perfectly understandable why those guys were laughing the way they did, though they did kind of milk that laughter way too much. They could have edited the footage a little before it got slightly irritating.

Looking at the comments in the video, there were a few car enthusiasts that didn’t find it funny and thought that the people filming should have gotten out of the car to help. Maybe they should have, but the decent thing to do was to not try to stand out by flexing your muscle in traffic in the first place.

Now tell us the truth, did you laugh, feel sorry for the guy, or both?
