Ferrari 458 Gets Rear-Ended By Chinese Police Pick-Up Truck

Here’s a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘You have the right to remain silent’ – because there’s not much you can say when a Police car smashes into your 458 Italia after you’ve been drinking.

It seems like this beautiful white Ferrari 458 (with a gorgeous black roof may we add) wasn’t too keen to pull over for the cops, not even after a full ‘sirens on’ chase started.

Apparently the Ferrari stopped suddenly on a bridge in city of Ningbo (Zhejiang Province) and with the Nissan pick-up being so close behind, the cops just couldn’t avoid the impact.

Apart from the driver of the Ferrari getting arrested, one of the officers was slightly injured but nothing life threatening. Maybe the owner of the Ferrari wanted to brake-test the cops…you know, like how Max Verstappen was allegedly “brake-tested” by Romain Grosjean in Monaco?

But seriously now, if you’ve had too much to drink and you get behind the wheel, then you totally deserve to cool off for a bit behind bars.

Too bad for the cars though. A 458 goes for 3.88 million yuan (or $630,000) in China, whereas that Nissan pick-up costs about 100,000 yuan ($16,000).
