As far as the emotional connection with the Bugatti brand goes, the Novo family from France is probably second only to the Bugatti family. For three generations, the Novos have painstakingly restored classic Bugatti models – their own, first and foremost.
The Novo family’s love affair with Bugatti started in Paris before World War 2, when a young Henri Novo was fascinated by the sights and sounds of Bugattis. It was the defining moment that shaped his future: he decided he had to work for the French automaker.
He founded the Garage Novo family business, now kept running by his son Jean, who is also taking care of a number of very special Bugatti models. His Bugatti Type-38, for instance, has covered some 200,000 km (125,000 miles) while in his possession!
